That new "Ultra" range? Think it's replacing the Elite range and there's a Jazzmaster this time too.

Genuinely starting to think that the iffy Pawn Shop series will go down in history as being the last time Fender really tried something a bit different.

Which is sad.

Quite possibly. There were a couple gems in the Pawn Shop series.

Would actually like a nice (fender) strat with a locking trem. I know they did "the strat" and the contemporary strat, but I'd like one that looks like a normal strat in every other way. I know CS did a few, but they would likely be big spendy time.

what's the difference between these and the american deluxe series from 20 years ago other than doubling the price? i had an hss strat from that series, and it was $1k out the door w/ hsc and case candy. i'd love a noiseless tele, but $1.9k? =\

Yeah, that's what I thought when I saw the models. These look exactly like what I remember the pricey Fenders looking like when I started playing. I assumed Fender always made this guitar. It's a strat with a two point bridge....

I kinda dig a few features of the Jazzmaster and Tele, but the rest is just... nah.
