NGD korean fender/squire Strat

Post by mickie08 »

Sonwhats the deal on the Korean strats with the bug fender logo but say squire series on the tip of the headstock.

I think I remember alot of chatter about them. Just picked one up with case for $60. Just needs new saddles and a setup.

Pics will come after I remember how the fuck to use the uploader....

I have a bunch of miscellaneous saddles from older squiers, I may have a match if you want to post a closeup pic.

just got a set of graphite saddles for it for 25 shipped to my door. Those will go on tonight/tomorrow. Then try to get it roughly set up and see how she does. May do a pickguard/pickup swap/upgrade but not sure if I need to yet.

Feels great. Sounds like a mid level strat. Thinking about a anodized gold.pickgyard and a set of the black and gold GFS gold foil pickups...

We.will see

Have you built anything new recently, Cooter? I can't build anything that is remotely well made and I have nowhere to do it, more over I don't need a guitar, but I have this crazy urge to build something. I may put some easy project together like a tele or another strat

Not much. Life is getting in the way. I did put together a duo sonic parts guitar but I'm having wiring issues so I need to open it back up someday.

That tele looks super and what a great tribute to your grandfather. Builds like that always get to me.
