Toronados were ace guitars, I had three of them at one point. They reminded me of LP Juniors, had loads of sonic growl and attitude and nice to play.
The Cyclone II is interesting, it’s a model I always wanted to try, didn’t Sloan have one back in the day?

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

Audioslave Strat:

Weird choice, given that Audioslave aren't a thing and Morello is more associated with RATM. I suppose the strats he plays in RATM are Kramers or something though. All of the Drop-D stuff was done on a Mexican Tele, but I suppose you don't think Telecaster when you think Tom Morello?

I always liked this guitar and would have fancied making one myself, like doog's Home the Armless strat. It's a bit less cool now that it's been done though.

I thought I was clever for coming up with that idea with some friends a couple years ago but Doog beat me to it? No fair

Assume the Strat ones would fit a Jazzmaster?
Tele necks generally fit on a JM body. AT least this was the case with my CIJ Jazzmaster from the early oughts.

The only strat I’d be willing to do that on is in pieces, and is reserved for a different project already. Maybe I’ll have to just get another one

Anybody actually buy this stuff? Like that $9300 Swagger/modified Swinger? For that price you could get several vintage ones.

Plus they seem to churn out more corksniffer guitars than collectors with butlers to buy them.

It seems Fender is completely out of ideas.

They are more of showpieces that are made for the annually run exhibition. They aren't serious about selling them in big numbers or at all, but you have to show you have something new

Saw some NAMM video and most of those ghastly CS one offs had already been sold. For a fucking fortune. Presumably to massive cunts with no taste.

Remember these?

I actually remember seeing some of them being sold at Thomann a couple of years later, they were 2000-3000 Euros each if I remember.

Custom Shop stuff gets heavily discounted if it doesn't sell.

At shows like NAMM they might also be discounted
