Looks like it's only in Sunburst, and it's a divisive model - but it's a grand for a new US made Fender

I actually love the look of both of these (the OG post and Rob's... misunderstanding), but I'm not a trem guy and I thiiink the Squier one has been discontinued. I can see myself being interested in a hardtail version of the OP, but I guess at that point it's basically just a Tele Deluxe with soapbars.

If they moved the tailpiece in a bit on the JazzTele, I would be definitely angling to own the tealy one; it's just too off-balanced as it stands.

It's got a different bridge and bridge pickup. Probably sounds better and stays in tune longer. Lol

Yet somehow a mustang with a strat bridge and 90s is still a mustang.

OP guitar would be more like playing a Jazzmaster whereas that Squier is just barely not a regular Tele.

I would like the op with a Tele bridge pickup honestly. Id probably buy it.

I don't think anyone is arguing that both guitars aren't Teles, Rob. The point is that the guitar you linked isn't a "Squier version" of the OP, any more than an Affinity Strat is a "Squier version" of those godawful Fender Select Strats from a few years ago.

Rob: What the fuck are you on about, dingdong?

The point I was making is that a Mustang with different pickups and bridge is still gonna be called a 'Mustang' because it's the body, innit..

This extremely Jazzmaster part-heavy is called a Jazz-Tele, because it's still a Tele body at the end of the day.

Or it might be called a Duo Sonic II.
