... and do you still have any bits of it?

I'm still looking for a Gibson bolt-on neck for a Sonex build...

I love these weird cheap Gibbo guitars. My Sonex sounds great. Not got the O.G. pickups in it tho (that prpbably helps).

A quick search has led me to *this project thread* which I'm assuming never got finished. Is it still knocking about, Doog?

The Avon one I had years ago, I managed to somehow break one of the pickups somehow (it was like 15 years ago, I don't recall.. but they're like completely moulded plastic), and got cheesed-off with the whole thing, selling the neck on eBay.

IMPORTANT OBSERVATION: I used to be a complete idiot, rather than a partial one like now.

The LP Junior copy body (and neck?) that Dave swapped me was the above convo, that I had intended to make Marauder-ish, but I sacked that off for various reasons. I'm bad a projects, I guess.

I think I only ever actually tracked with the Avon was 'My Crippling Ebay Addiction' and maybe 'Gee Whizz', good impression of a Tele, a less good impression of an American singer on my half:

Damn, My Cripping Ebay Addiction totally bangs. This whole EP is possibly the most early-Pixies-worship sounding thing I have heard. In a good way.

It was quite a while ago that Ebuyer was selling those Flying Vs with an amp for £40. June 2008, in fact. It had a chequered history..

(I'm interested in the V if the neck don't fit. I'm happy to contribute/trade something - I flagged them up in the first place but still hadn't jumped when Ebuyer ran out of stock.)

Plenty of Blur/13-era Graham Coxon noodling and Josh Homme theatrics going on, as well. I think you've basically encapsulated everything I was into in my mid-to-late teens. Congrats.

Think I had Coffetable Science and The Lazy W on CD waaay back. Maybe, 2006/7ish?

I'm going to set aside some time soon to rediscover them, see what sort of hole that puts me in. They were on heavy rotation in my early student days. A dark, lonely, fun, depressed, paranoid, druggy, scared, cold, hungry, and ultimately glorious period of my life.
