It does look a bit pose-y (says the man with a Flying V). On the other hand it appeals to my sense of the outrageous.

I think they're shit. Don't they do cheap copies of super strats etc? Jemalikes, with plenty of abalone and locking trems made of toffee.

Shine (or Saein) stuff was comparable to Samick or Cort back in the '90s when they were MIK. Douglas guitars (all over Rondo) are made at their new Indonesian factories, and some '90s-2004 Epis were made at the old Saein plant in South Korea... my '96 LPC is from the latter factory, and it's one of the better-playing Epiphone LPs I've ever met... I've seen other posts online of people who seem to think the stuff out of that factory were the best MIK Epis. It appears to have gone slightly rogue from the more common Epi Les Paul Custom templates, almost like it's based more on a '70s Gibson. I think it's a far better guitar than my '96 [Samick] G-400 was.

It's just a shame that the conversion from Es to Ls has suffered so badly.

Y'all should've gone all in on Buffalo Nickels like I did back when WNY were posting all that insider trading info about how they name their kids after banks or some shit.
