Might try that A-A before Changing strings.

Yep defo going for a Fender Trem...cause it says Fender n that.

Going to try all ways to make original bridge work, as I desperately want to fit a mute to it.

I changed strings to do it, stuck a bari set on there (think I had to get Circle Ks).

Nice one. I think the pups in the CV's are lower output than the VM's.

Had a rehearsal a couple months where a mate used a Squier Jaguar bass modded into a VI.

Nice! Once you get into playing them they're great makes you come up with ideas you'd otherwise never play.

Or just play the Cure and Blonde redheads back catalogue

I don't immediately hate it like I did on the Jag so hopefully not.

I took it apart tonight to remove all the stickers and sawdust. Darkened the fretboard. Installed a shim (probably too thick) raised bridge and give it a little more relief. Low E is less buzzy now. I have managed to get it almost intonated.

Couple of naff things.

Loads of glue around the nut that I had to scrape off. Also the tuners are naff quality, the B refused to tune back up to B and just kept slipping. Luckily I also some Klusons arrive for my Vm Jag (from your old pal kim) so I have stolen a tuner off the Vm and will eventually replace all of them with VM tuners when I swap the klusons over. Apart from that its great

5.7 ohms is like the resistance of 1 cm of copper wire.

You nearly didn't get the ohms.

I would appreciate it if in the future you didn't highlight my numbness and just edit me smart please.
