Runway Runaway now in the wild!

Post by dots »

youtube music link

but you can also find this on itunes, amazon music, spotify, pandora, etc etc etc.

it was a wild ride doing most of this in the midst of a pandemic and showing up "to the studio" with mostly unfinished songs. this record was also the first time so much of the context was taken from what was happening around us in real time. so cathartic in so many ways, and at least i have something beautiful to show for this ugliest of years.

again, special thanks to plops and kingkiller -- everybody who hears SOS gets a special kick out of the gang vocals closing out.

Nice.

I’m home office tomorrow, so will give it some listens between my 10am call, and my 11:15 wank.

"Youtube music isn't available in your area". Youtube knows how to screw up a birthday. Do you have it uploaded anywhere else maybe, Dot?

I don't know how to use any of that and half of the services don't work in our area which is known for pirating everything. We have our services for music which allow you to listen to almost everything for free as long as you're from our area

Is it youse? Some Hetfield vibes in the vocals, the intro is also sick

This was on my walk playlist today. Very much enjoyed it. In my mind it’s like Bon Jovi meets Jimmy Eat World.

It’s you and your brother yeah? Surely when you were playing Devastation, you looked at each other, and asked who was Michael Knight?

Love it! 3.33, Serve and Protest, SOS, My Life and Gone my favorites. SOS (love that boogey) and My Life are upbeat and match my mood this evening, and Gone is beautiful and gentle. Awesome job songwriting, playing and recording wise, Dot ~(bravo)

I'm dumb enough only now to realize that the Okay gang is Plops and Kingkiller

^very glad you liked it, and yeah, had to sprinkle in a little sunshine in what is otherwise a pretty dark set of themes. Darleen, a cosplay friend of hers, and some theater friends joined the Okay Gang, too. Was so fun orchestrating that.

Haha! I didn't make the Knight Rider connection til James said something after I sent him the demo, but it totally fits! That was a just a riff I wrote in 2005 and became the last track to get started and completed for the project when James pulled back a tune (I was obsessed with the 9 song number for some rainman reason). Came together in like 2 weeks start to finish.

Thanks for the kind words, gus, it was wild ride getting this thing out the door!
