i think i can use this BIG ASS FUCKING LIST of amps to make a condensed MSPAINT masterpiece of the small amps speks
everything i posted is blackface/silverface era.sunshiner wrote:It's not just speakers and watts, circuits are different. Blackface/Silverface era amps have that trademark pristine clean Fender sound that no other amps have. Most of the cheaper amps gravitate towards generic Marshall sound with muffled cleans, early break up and thick distortion. Blackface/Silverface amps are considered better pedal platforms because they have that initial transparent texture to the sound. Plus they have some of the best spring reverbs among all amps
They are. As are the Blues Junior and Pro Junior.robroe wrote:I thought the deluxe and the deville were the hotrod series

Yeah, for sure. I have a '68 Princeton Reverb Custom RI and it's just lovelygusman2x wrote:£799 for the Champ. Think I’d buy a s/h 68 Princeton reissue instead. 5W at home would be cool, but I’m fine with 15W also. In fact, I’d like to replace my Laney VC15 as it’s fairly unreliable, and the Princeton would be a like for like swap.
If I was 100% getting a champ, I’d buy a real silver face for the same price as a reissue.
What happened with that borked Tele Deluxe?theshadowofseattle wrote:Cool
No good new guitars this year so I can focus on getting more 2020 teles.
I sent it back to Bezos and bought 3 different teles since then.Noirie. wrote:What happened with that borked Tele Deluxe?theshadowofseattle wrote:Cool

I had the 68 Princeton Custom as well and it was ace. Only sold it to upgrade to the 68 Deluxe as I thought I'd be gigging with it. Turns out I McCartney'd and became the gigging bassist.Mike wrote:Yeah, for sure. I have a '68 Princeton Reverb Custom RI and it's just lovelygusman2x wrote:£799 for the Champ. Proper spring reverb tank, lovely tremelo. Plenty clean headroom.
I got mine ex demo for less than these new Champs are going for. Can also be very simply modded to close to the blackface RI which is very much more expensive
Second hand they seem to be still pretty spendy though. Brexit?
I missed this earlier. Damn it, now I REALLY want one. Lovely demo.Mike wrote:
