An old pupil of mine had a Sterling something or other. It was excellent. I was impressed with it.

For my money, it still looks like a guitar drawn by a 4 year old

That price makes it something I'd watch for on Reverb when they begin popping up used. Sterling makes good stuff.

Somewhere between Fernandes Vertigo and the St Vincent guitar. Kind of cool but the sort of thing I would probably only buy if I found it for like <$250 on the local classifieds

It looks like they wanted to be real ambitious with a retro cool design but didn’t have the guts to pull it off or it was dumbed down in committee.

Humbuckers with a strat trem, nobody’s doing that!

90% done! Something about the brass plates, maybe if they added a bunch of useless slider switches for that full on wacky vintage mojo.

Meh. I get that. I also think it looks sort of like a less ambitious version of the St Vincent Sterling (already a less ambitious version of the Music Man version). Like a different configuration of that sort of thing.

Having said that, I bet it's well made, and if I had the option between this and say, another Jaguar/Jazzmaster with humbuckers and not-jag bridge, I'd choose this.
