Daphne Blue Jazzmaster

I haven't owned a Jazzmaster for a few years, but I recently borrowed a couple of Squiers from a friend. It quickly became apparent that I needed a Jazzy of my own.

Enter the Squier Classic Vibe in Daphne Blue. I guess it's a 2020 FSR? No rhythm circuit, 500k pots, Emerson PIO cap, pearl pickguard, and replacement knobs.

One of the best looking guitars I've owned! Not sure I love the 500k pots, even though I usually like a darker tone. We'll see if I stick with the existing electronics...

Very nice. Though I’d swap the Pearl for a mint guard.

I’d cover it in pearl like an Italian guitar.

Very nice! I can't help but think it'd look much snazzier in a cream/mint guard- so the pickups and controls aren't at odds with the context- but if you like it as it is, that's all that matters!

Thanks guys! I'm kind of liking it as-is. The pearl guard with cream pup covers reminds me of my old Jag-Stang, so it's got teh nostalgia angle.

However, I might change my mind over time. My CV Strat has a mint guard, and it looks ace. I also remember how good Mike's surf green VM Jag looked with a mint guard.

I'm just thrilled with the color. I've developed a bad habit of selling gear that I'm even slightly dissatisfied with, so my intention is to hang onto this guitar for years to come. Obviously I can change the guard or the wiring anytime; much easier than doing a refin!

Looks the business, couldn't do without the rhythm circuit though - mine pretty much lives on that.

Add rhythm circuit, gold anodized pickguard, done.

Very nice as is though, congrats!

You guys act as if I'm not already looking for more Jazzmasters

Gold on daphne blue is an interesting idea tho. There's a gold & surf green Squier for sale on Reverb:

Yeah I actually like the gold with the green. Much more than I like gold with purple sparkle or vintage white.

I must admit Doog's gold on burst JM was pretty nice too...

I think it rules the way you got it now and everyone trying to change your mind can eat a bag of dicks

Thanks homie. Is it the same color scheme as your Jag-Stang? I've been admiring your guitar collection as you continue work on your studio/basement.

i think this thread is developing an urge for me to replace the dotsmaster guard (currently mint) with aged pearl and the pickup covers (currently polar white) with aged covers.
