Coronet reissue

Post by NickS »

I believe there's a Coronet lover or two on the board.

Available in any colour you like, as long as it's black.

...or red, actually. Think there's already a thread Nick. I'd love one if only the neck was bigger. Noirie was on the waiting list, but cancelled his order I think?

I thought there was a thread too but I couldn't find it, I think it might've been in one of the NAMM threads.

I just want them to reissue this for a price that isn't $5,000

My 66 Wilshire reissue was the closest guitar to this Crestwood and probably one of the most cute/cool/retro looking/beautiful guitars I've seen in person. But it had the worst neck akin to a fence plank - wide and thin which combined with a poorly cut nut made playing the guitar almost a chore. The pickups were woolly. Also modern Epiphone(or any other really) hardware is super shiny and it makes even expensive models look cheap. Afaik Gibson hasn't been using nickel hardware since the mid 60s either, but those old pickup covers and bridges look awesome on old Epiphones

No red at The Music Zoo. Maybe they sold out.
