I decided it might be useful to have a second expression pedal to use with the Line 6 M9. I thought I'd try the cheapest around - the M-Audio EX-P.

The switch swaps the tip and ring connections around. The pedal is ABS apart from the steel base and the fulcrum bolt.

There is a 1k resistor between the pot wiper and the output. In the M-Audio pedal this is easy to see and potentially bypass. With the 1k in circuit you can't get the full range of control on the M5/M9/M13, but that's a niggle rather than a major problem.

The "sensitivity" or whatever control puts up to 47k between the pedal pot and earth/ground/shaft.

The Nektar is slightly slimmer, which may help on a crowded pedalboard.

Line 6 M9 implementation notes:
The Line 6 M9 has effectively 3 signal processors each controlled by 2 foot switches. You can choose 2 effect presets for each signal processor and the switches allow you to select either or neither. The M9 also provides a number of "scenes" that allow you to change the palette of 3 x 2 presets. I was pleased to find that for each scene you can change the allocation of the expression pedals among the 3 processors.

Edit: Rehost pics.

I didn't mean to leave you discontented. Are you going to try bypassing the resistor?

He's displaying his IDGAF side there with his Antigua finish and his Strat jack socket.

I already did! I just didn't update the thread. Worked a treat.
