Will watch at some point, but spent ages trying to work out what the Fender VS series was.

Vintage Special?

Cool vid. Tho you’re totally happy strumming the vintage and percussive slamming the Squier so it’s hard to tell if the mellower sound on the vintage on is that or the pups.

Both guitars sound great.

The pickups sound almost identical to me.

The Vintage Jag has a smoother tone overall which could be just the vintage wood/finish or aged electronics.

It's great that you can make your Squier sound almost the same for a fraction of the cost of the Vintage Jag.

I want to pickup one of the CV Jaguars to pair with my AVRI 62 Jaguar.

after the thread linking the video of amplified guitar comparisons in the pub, ima say sonic differences have so much more to do with pickups and their proximity to the strings than anything else when playing plugged in.
