I'm impressed - maybe they were already thinking about it?

I like that JP-4000 because it looks like an old East European organ. Doesn't really look like a JP-8000 that much.

I probably wouldn't get one because I already have several Volcas I don't use much (but would like to) and I'm not a fan of Behringer. Plus that one doesn't have any interconnection besides USB.

“Inspired by Behringer”: CME’s SWIDI is a Bluetooth MIDI keyboard and step sequencer that looks very familiar
We’re used to seeing Behringer taking inspiration from other manufacturers, but other manufacturers taking inspiration from Behringer? That’s not something you hear about so often.

CME, though, is making no bones about the fact that its SWIDI keyboard is “inspired by Behringer”... but that’s not quite the whole story.

The product that SWIDI resembles - Behringer’s SWING - is itself very similar to Arturia’s KeyStep, so you could almost call this a ‘clone of a clone’. What Arturia will make of this remains to be seen, as it’s fair to say that it wasn’t particularly happy when SWING broke cover.

Their VCS3 could end up being made of tinfoil and Twix bars and I’ll still be selling off all my little synth module toys to buy one.

They’ve now announced a proper Juno 6/60 clone. 8 voices. Familiar looks. Named the Neptune. I think the Jupiter clone is gonna be the Saturn or summit.

I'd be quite up for an 8 voice Juno. 5 octaves would be preferable to 4 though.

I hope Behringer actually start getting some of these synths in the shops. They seem to have announced so much cool stuff but not a lot of it seems to have filtered through to an actual release yet.

Roland SH-5 clone. They first mentioned this a couple of years back but it's apparently nearing production:

Apparently they've announced that their prices will be dropping anywhere between 10-60%(!!) on their synth range since the chip shortage has apparently eased off now.

Fucking mindblowing if true... Which synths are gonna drop by 60%??? I had noticed that the prices for the much cheaper synths like the Crave had gone from £120 to £180 in some places over the course of only a few years, which I mainly put down to Brexit and cost of living, import, etc, but hadn't really considered that the ongoing chip shortage might be playing into it.

So that's something to look forward to!

Yeah, I'd seen that. I've been thinking of picking up a Poly D for a while now. They used to be available (new) for a shade over £450 but are currently £650+. Would be good if these price cuts bring them back down under £500.

I think the really big cuts are on the modular synths (System 55 / 35 / 15).

This looks amazing!!!

I can wholeheartedly recommend the PolyD. Mine was preowned and about £350

Makes sense since most of the value there is on the components. I’d like to pick up one of the euro rack cases and populate it over time.

Bringing it all right back to the very first synth posted in this thread..... The Pro VS is now firing out of the Behringer factory, ready to order, with demo vids to accompany it.

I honestly wasn't too interested in a vector synth to begin with, but the variety of sounds this tiny box can put out, and the fact that it is slated to be $99 (still no idea if that means slightly cheaper in the UK...) makes me wonder whether I should pick it up just out of interest. Considering I've spent more than that on a distortion pedal...
