What's the plan? One (which should be enough to isolate one amp from the setup and break the loop) or two? And when you say "peace of mind" are you talking best audio quality?

and yes.

This video has convinced me that I should probably spend the money on one with decent transformers.

Palmer, Radial and Morley eliminators might be worth looking into.

I find pretty much any hum-cancelling solution to attenuate high end a bit, it's why I think dummy coil pickups are useless (they just make all the best single-coil designs sound that much more humbuckery to my ears).

This arrived today. Haven't had the chance to put everything together because the flat is still in pieces from the building work, but I was impressed by how small and cute it was. Strings for scale.

That diagram in the box? That's the full manual. That's it.

Most budget audio isolating/impedance matching transformers quote a nominal 35 kHz high frequency response. Rupert Neve mixing desks use their own design of impedance matching transformers that have a high frequency response up to 100 kHz.

Finally got to use this today and it works. Feels like a slightly underwhelming way to be pleased about a successful purchase, but yeah, my set up now sounds more or less as good as it does without this new thing, but a bit less noisy.
