those saddle notches are downright cavernous on the non-wound strings. to they stay in tune?

Yeah. It's really solid actually, although I should say I have a set of 12s on it so that probably helps. The neck is so slender after the other things I've played, it feels like a toy. The pickups really are crap. I have a set from Ken Rose which I will wire in when I get through my giant to-do list. I've kinda-sorta quit my job, effective end of year, so I should have more time over Jan/Feb before hopefully taking up something new.
