Is there any way of changing which coil a coilsplit switches too? My Tele switches to the outer coil (closest to the bridge), and it's just too thin.

I'm pretty sure this is the current wiring, although the coilsplit switch is just a microswitch and not a pushpull pot.

you can do it if you reverse ground and hot on both pickups, and wire up the coil split the same as before - that'll change which coil becomes active when split.

I think, I can't see why that wouldn't work.

Yeah, you should have a North and South coil split from your bucker if you open it up.

basically, yes, do what mike says if it's a 4 wire bucker, do what i say if it's a 3 wire bucker.

They seem to go to the same point though?

That'll be for the full humbucker connection, you wire them together for that.

yes.
well they're the end and beginning of the coils for the north and south coils respectively - when they're attached it's 2 coils in series: a bucker. when you split one, whichever coil is then attached to ground is the split coil - by changing the ground you change the coil that is active when split.

but if you change the ground on one pickup, you need to change the other, or they'll be out of phase when you use both together.

It's good - it means you've got this shit all locked up. Because you're the coilsplit master it would appear

basically swap the green and the black wires on both pickups and you're set

One more question.. there's loads of slack on the bucker cable.. if I psychically just turned the pickup around, would it create any problems?

Why would you do that?

Some pickups are made specifically so that the bass and treble sides are different innit. Don't be lazy, do it the proper way or your normal bucker sound might suffer.

There's nothing wrong with experimentation.

psychically turn the pup around?

turning the pickup will change which coil is split, but the polepieces are set at different heights for a reason - to balance the string/fretboard radius so that it's balanced all the way across - look at a set of staggered strat pickups to see this.

I think he means physically unless he's got skillz we don't know about.

i still dream about being able to turn off lights at will from a distance, without using a broomstick or a snooker cue or anything like that.
