I think the Champ 600 looks like you'd really like it, heavium. Although it doesn't look that great it sounds good and will be a nice recording amp.

the only thing i don't really like about it, besides the look, is the speaker size....there'll be more demos out there soon i'm sure, i don't think stores over here are going to bother having them on stock :?

That sucks.

Do you have a speaker cab/combo with a speaker cable in it? Because you could use that...

it's a cool feature that you can hook it up with an external cab indeed..
but i just made up my mind (well...let's say it's a 95% thing, haha) that this year i'm going to focus a little bit more on my bass gear since i really need an upgrade..100watts ampeg blue rocket..love it, absolutely love it...but it can't keep up with two 100watt toob halfstacks at rehearsals and gigs (fine with a line out and mic sent thru the pa but not for myself on stage, can barely hear myself) so imma go for a 'cheap' ashdown mag 300 head and an ampeg 410hlf cab this year...i heard good things about the mag, it's not fantastic but i don't need much, just a simple, decent amp with a little bit more wattage for the time being... 300bucks for a new one... that's pretty ok.

i hope some of you will get their hands on one of these new fenders tho, and share demos and shit so i can turn green with envy.

hm.. i also have a question that i'm sure you'll know about; if a top is 300w at 4ohm and you hook it up with a cab that handles 450w at 8ohm are you going to get the full 300w out of the top or do you need two 8ohm cabs or one 4ohm for that then ?

i should know about this

It won't give you full efficiency, no- you generally wanna match the amp's output to the speaker's/cab's impedance.
