Did you upgrade the Jazzy pups yet?

Hey Fran,

I'm still waiting on Shadow's neck Seymour Duncan Vintage to arrive and then I'll do it - I can't be arsed to pull the Jazzer apart twice. Hurb's Seymour Duncan 1/4 Pounder is going in the bridge.

I've been playing it a bit more at practice and I'm looking forward to having a bit more chunk out of it :) I need to fix the strap button again thuogh, stripping out for like the fifth time - pass me the woodglue and matches

What's your Jazzmaster like Mike? For some reason I can't imagine you with anything else other than Telecaster Deluxe. :P

I sent it a while ago, but I imagine it takes time to go ALL THE WAY through the Internet.

it's like this:

the neck was bowed for a while and I took ages to get the truss rod sorted so I didn;t play it for a while, plus the Tele came and took over as my main guitar, I'm playing it again more now though.

Here's me recording with it ages ago.

Andy copied me basically.

Ha, I was just thinking that.

Looks awesome, I would say I can't believe you're not playing something that pretty very often, but after playing a Tele Deluxe for myself I can see that is has a lot of competition!

They are both fabulous guitars, but incredibly different. Something about the Deluxe just feels right in my hands and it definitely has the edge on the Jazzmaster at the moment for crunchy overdrive and heavier stuff but the Jazzmaster clean with both pickups engaged or on the edge of breakup is wonderful. I'm very lucky to have two such guitars.

lol...

Just got an email that two packages for me arrived at Goods In - went to sign for them and got my Req' sheets - one from Amazon.com, one in carefully copied cursive reads:

From: Mike "The People's Champ" Stone

I couldn't look at Tony the warehouse dude straight.

Cheers for that man, pickup looks spiffy - cloth wiring - was this added by Aug? exciting! Dirtest puppy cover ever btw, I'm using my own so I'll just chase children with this one.

That's Fran's doing on the cover. It were like that before Aug or I got it. I'm fairly sure the Duncan had cloth stock, but you'd have to ask Aug.

Yeah, my Vintage came with cloth wiring too, something for the FDP guys to go caca over.

Any idea what year your Jazzer is, Mikey? Those pup covers are waaay yellowed, they're darker than the finish!

This one was an SD Vintage as well. STFU on the FDP.

Um.. I'll wander down to my car at lunchtime and take a peek at the headstock, I'm thinking '96 off the top of my head though.

And yeah the whole thing is yellowing very nicely, I like it. All those years of smoking at university in my room.

I'm kinda feeling this about my Tele Custom at the moment. But it still might be the new guitar effect.
