Those things are amazing. That amp won't last 24 hours at that price.

I wasn't sure about the hype surrounding Victoria amps, then I ssen that jcyphe had replied in this thread, and that I ought to see what he thinks. He's handy like that, when I can't be bothered getting opinions of my own.

Bob Margolin who played guitar in muddy's band uses them. The thing about the Bassman is that it's the "Chicago Blues" amp, all these years later all those guys are still using the Bassman or amps based on that design. Think Buddy Guy and Otis Rush that's the sound of a strat into a bassman.

It also makes sense that the first Marshalls were designed around the Bassman circuit and eventually made louder, and that became the rock amp.

Stevie Ray Vaughan used a Bassman at the start too, I think, before he started using Dobro amps.

Dobro=National I think. Made lap steelz and resonators I think. I don't know I'm sleepy and have a cold, I can't think too straight.

Though I think Dobro amps were made, but they were all tiny ones.

righto. i've felt since i got the bassman that it was like a step grandaddy to the marshall. . . tight lows and punchy mids ftw.

I was severely misfiring that day. Usually I would know these things, but lately, things seem to be escaping me. Must be stress I suppose...
