I love that shade of green but for some reason I think the Venus looks better in black.

Looks nice! I have a GS 1 - slab type body and one pickup (bridge humbucker). It plays great but the neck is really flat and wide, so not fir everyone.

A roller bridge with adjustable saddle height or 7.25 and 9.5 radius. This. You can do this with a wilkinson roller. honeyiscool demonstrated how. you basically cut little square shims out of coke cans, and drill them so you can get the attaching bolt through. pretty ingenious. would take some work...

You need a black on black on black 70s musicmaster. Stealthbucker under the guard.

Not a shortscale, but have you considered a Fender Bullet (not to be confused with the Squier Bullet series)? 80's student models, small, single cut body, maple board:

If you're into it, the Squier Mascis has big jumbo wire, as opposed to the medium jumbo on the VM guitars. (Is it just me or does 'medium jumbo' come up in a weird variety of shapes and sizes?). They have lovely necks too - usually prefer gloss, but this one is amazing.

Don't know if we're talking about a blemish in the finish or something more troubling, but Thomann has some b-stock on these Arctic White Jags for £699 http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_fsr_cla ... _stock.htm

There used to be a GuitarTech one that I liked the look of that had min and max volume level pots, with a passive boost at the highest level. It seems to have been discontinued but I've spotted an Artec one that is identical (probably the same pedal, in fact). http://www.thomann.de/gb/artec_vpl_1.h...
