I think that's highly probable. Would love to figure out at least the brand though so I can come up with some options.

Guitar ID (travel size guitar)?

Hey all, does anybody recognize this brand/model of guitar? I feel like I'm so close to reading that headstock, but so far. I'm thinking the rounded bout may have been chopped down to that, regardless I still can't I.D. what this started as. http://41.media.tumblr.com/a30ce9598ad90c57ca3f4d739b42ee5...

Guitar ID - Vintage? Hollowbody - Smashing Pumpkins '97

Hey guys (particularly Red), Anybody know what hollowbody guitar Billy Corgan played at the 1997 Grammy Awards for "1979" (video below). I know I've seen that headstock shape before, but just can't place it. Thanks as always for...

Looks like it may well be the Zoom 9002: http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/history/02.php Agreed, they also did a "Special Edition" version of the 9002 (can't find release date, only this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200829136128) and a Pro version (released in ...

A good amp repair knowledge forum?

Anyone know of a good amp forum that I could submit some symptoms to? Here's what's up: Amp: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (V2) Problem: Unwanted Distortion on the clean channel, especially when playing heavy on the low E and A strings combined (like the first 2 notes of a G chord) Important facts: - I modd...

Congrats! Its my favorite amp for clean tones that I've used (and I have a JC-120). The drive channel really depends on what tubes you're using though, and I almost always use pedals for that.

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I happened upon this article today (not sure why we couldn't find it in 2010): http://drownedinsound.com/in_depth/4139640-dis-meets-the-national To summarize, in the studio he tuned down his guitar and played it through a tremolo pedal (he uses a Boss TR-2 live) ...

The FX25B is not specifically a Bass pedal, that's a silly rumor someone started about DOD Pedals ending in "B". B is just the revision "number" for the pedal, sometimes it only differentiates cosmetic and not circuit differences. I mean, what does the FX55C stand for then? Clari...

I don't think that says Danelectro on the head, looks like too many letters. Also it would would need a new bridge too.

If you are a new pedal builder, BYOC sells a "Confidence Booster" which is an easy build. They used to give them away for free to new customers purchasing a kit, but I don't know if they still do. The easiest builds they have (in my opinion) are the ESV Fuzz (Fuzz Face) and the 250+ (DOD 2...

For the absolute beginner I think BYOC is by far the easiest. They have a ton of pictures in their build documents and it's really paint by #.

Fender Hot Rod Deluxe

I have a JC-120, and the HRD definitely has a better clean tone and takes pedals better (read: takes Fuzz pedals better)
