i wish fender would reissue these, they are such a different guitar than any other fender.

ya the body and neck seem to be in good shape and thats what matters the most.

ya totally looks like the plates arent stock and the knobs have been changed. also the pickups have been either changed or the covers have been taken off, and the pickup switches arent stock.

the a and b represent the width of the nut.

"A" width - 1.5", "B" width - 1 5/8"

i have never seen a black plate on any mustang vintage or reissue. so im gonna have to say its not stock. : (

i cant stand them, i had a ts9 and returned it. then got a ts 808 for free from a friend and still don't like it. it thins your sound and kills it completely. as someone on here once said they are turd screamers.

i just picked up a 1978 fender vibro champ in awesome condition. it was already modded with a 3 prong power plug and an upgraded 8" jensen speaker. so i dont even have to do any mods to it! its cleans are amazing for a small 8" speaker and when cranked the crunch is just perfect, it still ...
