I kinda like the bass. 32" is such a comfy scale.

To be fair this is how Mustangs/Jag-Stangs are, it was clearly a half-hearted "just give it Mustang switching" type thing.
Yeah I get that. It's just a bit lazy really.

Body shape is a bit shit, the bottom just kind of ends bluntly, the pickguard is poorly cut around the bridge, and the control plate isn't well matched with the contour of the body. It's a better attempt than the first jag stang but fender has 20 years to get it right and this is the best they can do? Would not buy

You are all crazy! I like the guitar and the color. It is a bit shocking that it gets a Fender branded trem.

Bet that doesn't make it to production.

BA-BOOM, buy the production deal now yeah. Then look closely and decide what's embossed.

Have these made their way to the USA yet? I haven't seen any. Perhaps it won't be released here?

well shit, i have placed an order, too.
got a 10Euro discount coupon for the german MusicStore and did it for 339 total, free shipping.
on their site it says it's planned to be delivered on August 3 - otherwise i would have ordered it in that other german store for 319, but i'm hoping i will not have to wait until september, or i'll tell them to fuck off.

i don't know much about the Cribs. and i don't care too much for 'em, either.
i've listened to them a bit when Marr was in the band and it sounded pretty cool. but when i watch the recent live vids on youtube, well excuse me, they sound pretty shitty tbh. and the guitar player's rockstar attitude isn't cool either.

but the guitar's design looks kinda cool. "jagstang done right", as someone once said.

the bass player seems like an OK dude and he posted that great reply on the this thread over on the OSG, how they approached it and how they basically WANT these guitars to be bought, played and modded by offset/shortscale-fans, as they are quite a bit of gearheads, too.

that got me kinda REALLY interested in one of these. but the color was kinda a nono for me.
then after watching those live performances, i realized that color is very chamaleonic and looks pretty damn cool in real life.

plus, last week i finally got a (decent paying AND fun) new job here, so BANG.
I DESERVE IT.

quite excited. i haven't bought a brand new guitar ever since 1997 when i got my CIJ Jazzmaster in Houston.

hopefully, i'll be posting a demo of it SOON. :D

so... who else is in (has ordered one)?

rock on!

Pat.

oh in case you don't wanna look too much on OSG  ...here's the thread/reply:

http://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/vie ... 6&start=45

i will put a chrome'd humbucker in there fer sure. MOAR BLING = win

i suspect it will be a nice complement to my old crackwhore jag.

OK gotta run.

That's a cool reply on that OSG thread. Seems like they took a really healthy and ego-free approach to designing signature guitars.

That guitar is ferociously ugly.

I quite like it, and think that the bass looks sexy time for sure. Also very impressed with the lad's input on OSG. Squier's really are brilliant, especially the Chinese/CV type ones.
