Orange TaTa

Needs change etc and I'm considering (that word will hopefully dampen the expected flames) swapping my TT + PPC112 for either a Vox AC30 or Fender Twin Reverb Silverface.

PLZ ADVISE ON WHICH K THX BI

Those are wildly idfferent amplifiers.

What country are you in and what music do you play? What sound do you want your amp to give you?

OMG EPIC BRAIN FAIL - I meant to put Orange AD30TC as opposed to Fender Twin; the Twin question was for a different subject.

Um im in the UK and play Indieish stuff. I guess im looking for quite a twangy bright OD but with sparkling cleans on the other channel...

Well a Vox AC30 ain't a two channel amp so that's out. It can give you a nice sparkly clean or some gutsy crunch but not both at the flick of a switch.

The AD30TC is a great amp and with the right speakers you can get a bright clean out of it, although it's slighly darker than the Vox. The overdrive is darling.

Sorry, yes, the AC30-CC2. There is a considerable (£400) difference in price between that and the AD30TC, which hasn't gone unnoticed as long as tone doesn't suffer. Which would you have sir?

It's a much better amplifier all round.

I have the AD30HTC and it really is a great amp. Not sure what else to say really other than confirming what Mike's said above about the two channels. However if you want spanking, sparkly cleans, you could lower the gain on channel two as it's brighter than channel one as it's designed for overdrive, and have channel one for dirty, though it's not as nice in my opinion as channel two's.

Thank you, thank you and thank you.

Hopefully a new AD30TC will receive (a) better reception than Orange phones in my house. BUM BUM BUM TSHHHHH.

Fuck off, that was the best i could do. I'm tired.
