This is one of the best videos they've ever made.

Cv are amazing and I'm not wholly surprised by this

Though I am surprised they couldn't tell due to spec differences in the nut or something. I'd have doubted they were the exact same. In fact the bridge string spacing will definitely be wider but I guess they're going by measures of overall quality

It's tough to watch those guys though they were a bit less annoying than normal.

I watched the video they did comparing Strats in the same ranges (Squier CV, MIM standard, MIA standard, Custom Shop) and in that one they immediately went with the clichéd guitar shop talk about each price point, designed to make you spend as much as possible rather than choosing the best fit for you. Having seen them do that with the Strats it was nice they were as honest as they were with this one.

They weren't obnoxious as fuck here. I've been lusting after a white CV Tele for ages now. Had a '72 Deluxe one which ruled but I'm more into single coils by the day so...

The white is the one I'd go for. Alnico 3 and an overwound bridge pickup. Slightly Different flavour to the others

If you haven't played a CV you are totally missing out. I've only played the Duo Sonic when they were new and it fucking blew me away. In fact, most asian made guitars are now at a killer quality level, schecter, ltd - and the CV finally puts squier at the same level.

Quite a few years running I've gone to the Fender booth at NAMM, and if money were no object, I would have left with a squier.

yeah, my CV precision is the only bass i'll ever need. at most it could do with a pickup change, but it's hardly top of the list. damn fine instrument. would happily buy a strat or tele from that range without a backwards glance.

I'll watch this tomorrow.
Hardly surprised though, on my last few visits to guitar shops the Squier CV and VM stuff has felt better than any of the Fenders in there. Not trying to champion the underdog either as i love a good Fender but its the truth.

My '72 Tele from that range was incredible. £255, replaced a Mexican '72 to be used on a UK tour and played better. Only sold it because my '72 SG edged it out for humbucking stuff (an unfair comparison really). I miss it. Luckily my friend has it now so I can play it if I really want. As GAS for a more traditional Telecaster grows the Squier CV line is the first place I'm looking.

I really enjoyed it & shows how much ppl judge with their eyes. I'd like to see this if they didn't know specs and what had what. They certainly tried to feel which was which before playing
