SG 3 copy

Post by westtexasred »

I bought this used guitar from Guitar Center(online). It was $149. I'm not sure what it is,no name,no serial number. It has a set-neck so I figure it is a newer chinese copy. Have you seen this one before?
I am looking for other photos of this model but I haven't been able to find any.

Never seen it before, but put a 3x3 humbucker in the middle.

3 humbuckers always looks awkward to me. Otherwise a sexy SG copy.

THREE HUMBUCKERS = BEST PICKUP CONFIGURATION

It looks horrible but it sounds HUGE.

I've always liked the look of these:

Although, every time I see a small pic of it looks like it has lipstick pickups and I get excited. But it doesn't.

Here is my guitar. It's actually really nice. It reminds me of a Nelsonic.

Again, put a 3x3 hamburger in the middle. Or metal robroe cover.

Needs a GFS Split in the middle! solves that problem of the three humbucker look. or those humbucker sized chrome p90s they make. Mean 90s or something like that.

I like it the way it looks. Maybe change the way it is wired.

Those are nice. They sell for about $400 used. The ones like mine sell new for $169 in the ACME catalog.

I can't take three-humbucker guitars seriously. They're like some deleted scene from This Is Spinal Tap.

Yes, they are much pricey even than regular G400. Creamy finish looks so tasty. They are out of production now, maybe you will find one that twice cheaper in a year or two. However I think that your ACME is good enough for the money. What is the neck profile like, I am not a big fan of slim necks?

It's like a 60s neck but not super slim.

White 3-pickup Custom SGs were the first guitar I ever GAS'd for after I first started playing and had a Squier Strat, due to Hendrix's being in a magazine article on the Hard Rock Cafe and also Dave Grohl having one during Colour and the Shape appearances. After I got my red G-400 (because of lusting after those white ones) Epi released a 3-pickup white Custom G-400 and I was so pissed off.
