My Avril Langina Tele is also heavy. I thought it was Mexican, but I realize I haven't checked.

Seriously I really liked it a lot. It's like Voivod using Bauhaus's gear and with no widdley woo soloing stuff. I mean that in a good way.

Mike, I've flat out said that you are one of my favorite builder/modifiers. Your work is spot on as always. As an aside, when I was showing my wife the pics you had of FB she asked who you were. I said a guy from the forum, and clicked randomly on one of your pics, to which she commented that you lo...

OK, checked all the wiring and there is continuity all through out. I metered all of the speakers, and here is where things start getting weird. They are all (old) 16ohm Celestions, but they all read for 12ohm when I put the meter across them. I'm wondering if the speaker is oscillating a wee bit be...

Could be a disconnected speaker. I had to swap stuff out years ago, and forgot about that until you mentioned it. I think I might just tear the whole thing down and do a rebuild, and just wire is for 16ohm and be done with it.

Stupid Question, Cabinet Impedance

So I haven't used my Carvin Cab in years. I can't remember what impedance it was/is. I metered it across the jack, and it came up as 2ohm. It should be 4, 8, or 16. This matters a bit, since the head has a selector to match what impedance the cab is at. Anyone suggestions?

I tried two Jazzys last night. Both were about the same in playability, fit, finish, etc.. They feel comfortable, the frets were a little thin for my taste, but the fingerboards were still awesome. The neck on the Sonic Blue was beautifully tinted, it was just a gorgeous guitar. Pups were ok, could...

I designed a trem lock for that so it will stay in tune if a string breaks. Never got around to prototyping it though....

Doesn't alter the guitar at all either. 100% reversible.
