Cheers Cur. I really struggled to move these forward. Just can't get the access to the tools I need. Hopefully more soon These are looking good so far. Did you get your wood from David Dyke for that? I'm tempted to try him out but thought I'd ask first. No. I got a huge bit of wood from a local timb...

I do, do custom orders, but I do not do sheets. What did you have in mind?
Yeah was looking more for the sheets as they'd be for projects I'm working on. They'll not all
be the same design so couldn't afford to buy a bunch of differnet custom jobs

something yellowish would look great against the grey. You can see it with the gold of the logo

Really like it. Has something of the Red House Painters about it. What format is it getting released on? I tend to only buy things on vinyl, it's a bit silly I know but I can't bring myself to buy anything digital

Was on the look out for one of the Fender acoustics with that type of headstock years ago and turns out there are quite a few different models. Can't remember which models it was that I fancied? Love the look of the Balboa though.

Have you tried looking through the colours on the offsetguitars.com dressing room. The colours are limited to existing colours but you could try out some of the more unusual fender colours to get an idea of what you want? I kinda like the Teal Green

nice tip. Guess it would only be good if the finger board is off though otherwise it would mess with the glue? My mate did something similar, but without the heat, that seemed to do the job, but by the sounds of it this example must have been much worse. Tuners can be handy for a few repair jobs. On...

Oh... I see it now. The black line is a gap and not a second layer of veneer. Doesn't look to bad, as long as you can get it to sit flat again. Just get glue right the way in and clamp it up. As for the irregularities on the headstock I'd just use a small file on it and sand paper round a small bloc...

Looks like he might have tried to burst it with the darker stain on outer edges and top of the neck being darker. How easy is to sand off the stain and start fresh?

I was buying a tele bridge to use in a lap steel that I've never got around to building and noticed the guy had a Squier Affinity bridge PU for £6. I read some reviews saying they were very good so bought it. Not tried it yet but it has the backplate and looks like it's decent quality. We'll see
